AFTER INSTALLING
  1. Open Moto Mesh · allow microphone, location and notifications.
  2. Tap your group’s NFC tag or invite link once to sign in. You stay signed in.
Prefer the direct download?

The direct build is the same app, signed by us, and is usually a little ahead of the store because Play review takes a day or two. Choose this if you want the newest build; choose Play if you want it to look after itself.

  1. Open the downloaded file.
  2. Allow Install unknown apps for your browser · one-time.
  3. If Play Protect warns, tap More details → Install anyway · it is signed and delivered by Moto Mesh, it is simply not the copy Play handed you.

On iPhone

There is no App Store app yet. On iPhone Moto Mesh installs from Safari as a web app · same map, same group, same intercom.

  1. Open app.moto-mesh.com in Safari.
  2. Tap Share, then Add to Home Screen.
  3. Open Moto Mesh from the new icon · not from a browser tab.
  4. Allow microphone and location the first time you are asked.

Opening it from the icon matters: a browser tab does not keep microphone permission between sessions, so it asks again every time you come back.

WHAT IS DIFFERENT ON IPHONE

The intercom talks while the screen is on. Apple does not let a web app hold the microphone once the screen sleeps, so keep Moto Mesh in front while you ride · it keeps the screen awake for you. On Android the app carries the intercom in your pocket. A native iOS app is on the roadmap.

Why an app at all?

Android has a privacy rule: only installed apps may use the microphone and GPS in the background. A website · however clever · goes quiet the moment another app takes the screen.

The Moto Mesh app holds that permission properly. So your intercom and live position keep working no matter what's on screen · Google Maps, the camera, music, a phone call.

Everything else is identical · it's the same Moto Mesh inside, and it receives every improvement instantly, forever. From Play it updates like any other app; the direct build updates itself.

Once it is installed

  1. Open Moto Mesh (gold icon) · say yes to Microphone, Location, Notifications.
  2. Tap your group's NFC tag or invite link · that signs you in and joins the group.
  3. That is it · you stay signed in between rides.

You'll see a small permanent notification · "Moto Mesh · intercom active." That's Android's guarantee your voice and position stay live.
